Well its about time the caddy received some attention, so earlier this week the angle grinder came out and cut off the rust infected drivers side sill.... photos to come later on this week.

......when the jetta is finished and running.....the caddy will be hit... Hard.

Also ordered a pedal box from martin off edition, so that should be turning up soon, hopefully it'll be ready for paint early 2010..... Maybe..

So, Now my attentions have turned to the caddy once again. The project has been a bit on and off as some of you may have noticed , it's also been done a bit arse about face in the order of what i've done. But hey ho....

So I cut up some of this..

And made one of these lil beauties.

So now the plan is to clean and prep for some epoxy mastic, my friend is going to tackle the more delicate welding on the arches for me soon-ish hopefully.

Yep frame is a Regcheese industries design. A few of the measurements turned out wrong but I had plenty of spare box leftover so it all worked out fine.

Thanks for the comment chaps, tomorrow i'm making a start on the underseal and surface rust. More updates soon.

Well for anyone thinking of doing this its the s4itest job ever.... but hey this is a restoration job.

so we started with this..... yes it is that crap of a job.

which then after 2 1/2 days, looked like this...

So tomorrow is a full on session with the sand blaster to get the complete top section done no rust will be left untouched followed by all seams nooks and crannies seam sealed then friday will be epoxy mastic time. Then next week i'll drop down to the lower sections.
