Soon after, i fitted the audi pepperpots i had on my first caddy and also changed the headlights to smoked and indicators to crystal jobbies with the built in sidelight. Also fitted the gerry plates

I then had the new tailgate that i bought for my first caddy painted along with a replacement passenger door. The door had the wing mirror hole deleted.

Got them fitted just before gti fest at the pod.
Alongside elmo's and budda's lovely trucks

Convoy to budda's to collect a 4 branch.
Thanks to paul, this is my fav pic, hence my avatar

After E38, it was time to pull the engine out. It smoked like a good'un lol

After a wash

Its now fitted with a mk1 gti engine which as been overbored to 1.9. came from a Golf i bought off caddy vantastic that i was gunna restore til i got a quote on bodywork . Decided that i'd rather spend 3K on my caddy instead, so the golf was striped of all the go faster parts lol then sold. Regretably, the new owner cut the shell up .
But anyway, all the gti parts will be in my caddy soon as

As you can see, the chrome bumper was sold on ebay a few days ago as it was'nt mint. The lights are being replaced for originals. Got a few more parts to fit for the engine to fire backup, soon as weather gets better, will hopefully sort her out.

Soon as its running again, she'll be stripped to a rolling shell then probs taken to my mates barn where she'll be painted.
Keeping her white as i think its looks great as is. If it comes out as nice as blackandwhitebmx's caddy then i be well chuffed

I'll then build her back up with all the shiney bits i collected for her

Blood red interior, raddo seats(hopefully retrimmed)
chrome swage line trims and wing mirror
porsche scripted door handles
split rims when rebuilt

Got some polishing to do now lol!!

Picked these up yesterday. 2x 2.5in lips for my BBS RM's.

Got my Splits about a month ago which came as 6.5's and 7.5's fitted with near new nankang 195/45 rubber. They cost a 'scene tax free' £250 which i thinks a bargain looking at what they up for on E38

Will make the 6.5's, 8.5's when i rebuild them which will then squeeze on the rear when the arches are rolled or cut.

Will also be replacing the nankang's with yoko A539 rubber

Valver

Update.
Been offered a mk2 golf 16v KR as a donor car so i've decided not to finish the 1.9 8v conv in favour of the valver engine.
Everything is there and my mate also got a conv manifold so i be having that to.
Plans are to use my mk1 gti box on it for now to save me the job of 100mm driveshafts. When i find some at a non inflated price, i'll fit the 16v box.

As i have the whole car, what extra do i need. Is it just the pug 205 gti dizzy cap to clear the M/C?
Also, the donors fuel pump and accumilator are faulty so can i use my mk1 set up instead?

You shouldn,t have any issues if you have the std MC. If you have 16V MC then you can just turn the resivoir round and you'll have enough room. failing that then you might want a pug or ABF dizzy cap.

MK1 pumps are all good for the KR
