yeah i went to look at it soon as i saw it on ebay,he took £650 for it and was asking £795 to start with.

not interested in the door yet mate but thanks for the offer.im more concerened about the ride height than any rust tbh lmao first things first ha,probly cos im used to driving this,my daily driver and this is the reason the caddy is going to be slow progress its the first time ive ran two cars at once before

few questions for yah..are those standard wheels anygood if im goin to lower it with the lowering plates (80mm) and could i get some nice sized tyres on them? if theres any pics a link would be nice ,ive not seen any standard alloys used yet thats why i ask.
and is it ok with the cops wit not having bumpers on?

Looks like its coming on well mate, welcome!.
If you are referring to the wheels that are on your caddy in the pics as being standard, dont quote me on it but i dont think they are mate, in fact i think they maybe renault alloys. In any case you'll have to provide the various dimensions of the wheel and tyre and one of the wheel sla.gs on here will help you out! Imo though i think you'll be fine at 80mm as an axle flip at approx 100mm still leaves you with some room to play. As for bumpers, as far as i know as long as you have everything you need, i.e indicators positioned on the vehicle i think you'll be ok, but i suppose it depends on how bored your local plod are. maybe if you live in the city and they are out catching murderers & rapists (yeah right, more like a slapping a student silly for selling an eigth of weed! - no offence paulo ) you might be ok, but if you are in some poncy village somewhere you might be seen as the local 'tyrant' - out to cause mayhem and destruction at the annual 'best kept village contest', spiking the tea with anphetamines (crack for old gladys day, she's been off the speed for three months now, wouldnt want to set her back!) and so on...so really you'll have to suck it and see i reckon!
One more thing though, why dont you sell that 'jap-pap' daily to some unsuspecting person and use the money to buy an 'uber cheap' daily (as in £50 with like 2 months tax n test) and spend the rest on the caddy???? get it super low and stick some banded steels on it, drop in a TD or a GTi lump and those buckets out the micra(p).........
.....just a thought

well.this was tonights little 2 hour session. im getting work done as and when i can due to my job its going to be a slow burner untill march time
so...this is what we started with, not very nice as you can see

chopped it out,,bare hole.

we used the numper plate mount for plate as it the same depth as the pannel so was perfect! and filled the bumper holes in with weld

smoothed it off best we could with the finishing disc on the 4" grinder and gave it a shot of hammerite number 1 rust paint.

while all that was goin on i removed the trailer light wire from behind the rear light not nice.

more work on sunday hopefully

Nice start to a project dude.

The rims on that truck are VW rims, I got a set off a 1997 Jetta. (BTW they look awesome!)
