    1.8t conversion - temp sender

How do people get there temperature gauge working with a 1.8t in a mk1 caddy?

The temp sender on the engine is linked to the ecu so I can't use that to work the gauge on the cluster.

    Use a MK3 Golf/T4/Ibiza sensor 357919501A

Great thanks that's a simple fix.

Tonight issue is the oil pressure sensor. I've got no light with the engine off and a flashing light with the engine running.

Do I have to do a sensor change for that as well?

To satisfy the mk1 clocks, you’ll have to use a low and high pressure mk1 sensors.

Ah ok can't work out how that's meant to work. I think I just put a relay in the circuit to change the normally open sensor to a normally closed signal.

You remove the MK4 oil pressure switch, and the blank on the filter housing and replace them with the 2 MK1 switches

Google mk1 golf oil pressure sensors and how they work and you’ll understand
