Once I was happy that things were straight, I was able to measure the angle of the control arms, so I’ll be able to remove the correct amount to shorten them.BE306B03-C532-4439-A256-B5695F8D8A9F.jpg

This is why I dont like that rear end!

If you dont get the trailing arms in the correct position it will affect the toe & camber!

If you shorten the control arms that will affect it again.

Its all a bit hit and miss for me, yes it will work but if its not cock-on handling, ride & traction will suffer

Will be interesting to see how it works out for you

The critical thing is getting the arms in the correct location, I’ll be fitting some homemade adjustable control arms, so should be able to tweak things.

I love how you took my comment on board. When you were asking me how to lay the power down, I told you to go 4x4/Syncro/Rallye/4motion/etc. Originally you just ignored my advice.

Because like all things in life, I learnt a valuable lesson from experiencing things for myself.

Like ...more than 350hp through a fwd is dangerous!! Torque steer would eventually put me into the path of on coming traffic

It is the only route you can go imo.
Like you said, with silly amounts of power it’s just uncontrollable.
    I’ve always wanted a nice 4wd.
I think it’s coz my stepdad had an Audi Quattro back in the 80’s and I fell in love. 147mph, 4 up, with all our luggage, down the autobahn and the old girl telling him to slow down - I was a nipper

Are you sure you’re using the right parts? I haven’t ever looked into it though.
