Who uses Adams gas or Hobby MIG gas?

Since buying my R-Tech MIG , I seem to be firing though a bottle at a fair speed.

i'll check my bottle size (its not big) and flow rate (its not massive), but how quickly are you guys refilling?

Maybe i'm just welding more than i realise, but I don't think i'm doing much. The bottle doesn't appear to leak and I always close them after welding

What bottle and from who have you got it?

Adams do a 9ltr @137bar and a 20ltr @200bar. The 20ltr contains 3x more gas than the 9ltr although a refill is only twice the cost!

Also you want to make sure you are using a 5% mix and not 20%

When I was an Adams stockist I always encouraged people who were doing resto work to take the 20ltr. A 20ltr even lasts me ages (a year at least now)

Must be 9L I have - the bottle deposit on the bigun was a lot - £200!

my reg is set to 12 cu/ft /12L

That sounds high? I am wondering if i had the numbers confused from my old reg....

£200 what gas company is that???

A 20ltr Adams bottle is £80 deposit and about £85 for the gas

Yeah £200 is steep, whats the cost of the gas content on that?

The hobby gas is 300bar and contains 6 cubic meters where the Adams 200bar has 4 so if its half the cost again its justifiable

Have a look to see if there is an Adams you way now

Yesterday Adams delivered a 9L bottle to me for £36 5% mix.

My last bottle lasted a month. That's because I left the gas on and fucked off for a week
