One, single, solitary Koni red rear shock 80-1350

I'm after just the one for my mk1 as one that I have is fine t'other is fcukt!

Whoever I got them from (off here) saw me coming a mile off!!

I'm tossing up whether it's more cost effective to get it rebuilt or just get a new one/pair.

    Thanks people xxx

Can do you a brand new one delivered to your rock for £75

(I might have to cut the box down a bit though, so I can send it 1st class signed for)

You probably haven't contacted Koni UK so dont expect a reply. As the company advertised as such are no longer!

Also Koni UK is a distributor only so wont build or repair, you will need to contact Holland direct

    I know. Don't take offence

I was honestly going to follow you up on it, but looked around for a classic 80-1350..
Looked a bit further into it to try and find the differences between classic & sport and then found some sport 80-1350's on special for £47 plus £10 postage.

I'm confused now as the sports (yellow) are supposedly stiffer. I don't mind a bit of bounce but it's a pick up, not a race car..

The valving is different on the yellows so you would need a pair

Yeah I read up on that.

So are the yellows (sport) a budget version of the reds/blacks (classic)?

I had to get a koni damper insert for the coilovers on my mk2 golf, had to go direct to holland or germany and it cost me about 180 in the end and took a couple of month to arrive as they waited for enough orders to warrant a production run.

Might be better to get a pair of whatever you can get.

No, the sports are designed for stiffer springs and suited more for track days/racing

I dont know if the adjustment range will be to stiff on a back of Caddy as the rebound on the reds are enough to stop the spring returning to its normal position when tightened fully.

You would need to suck it and see!
