    1.8t Fuel lines, 6mm 8mm 7mm nylon rubber...

Uuugh. Was thinking about the caddy last night after reg reminded me I have one

Pretty sure last thing I was thinking about in September last year was fuel lines.

1.8t has 7-8mm ID rubber from fuel rail to nylon lines, supply and return. Gonny keep them.
1.8t has 7-8mm OD nylon lines from there to the fuel filter / tank.

Caddy has 12mm supply and 6mm return.

I can convert 12mm to 8mm in/out of my fuel pump,
But how do people convert 8 to 6 without cutting and using reducing joiners?

Sure there must be a simple product out there

    Cheers

Failing something useful, maybe I'll weld in a 8mm barb at the top of the tank

    What are you asking?

The original Caddy tank rubber outlet pipe reduces in size, perfect infact for the VW blue & black fuel pipe or go over to the more expensive braided

    Here's a diagram

I wondered if there is anything out there like a rubber reducing hose coz I could do op1, but op2 would be tidier and one less join...

Op2) ... 8mm OD (outside diameter?) surely has an inside diameter close to the 6mm OD of the tank ?

    Just force it on ?

Why are you trying to make something so simple so complicated?

The rubber hose out of a Caddy tank already reduces to the perfect size to get onto a fuel pump & filter, and the return is already the correct size for an 8mm return so opt2 is a non issue. All of those sizes fit the nylon VW pipes fitted in everything from MK1 Caddys to R32s

I have never put a vernier across one but 8mm ID pipe goes straight on so must be close
