Isn't the rule max 30mm outside the arch? You might be inside it

Wheels sticking out of the arches is not part of the MOT. Its only plod who may be interested.

An mot tester is only interested in wheel condition. ie. buckles, cracks, wheel bolts/studs etc.

They might get interested if you had James Bond spikes as that would be considered a "sharp edge", but then that is on listed in section C1 under bodywork so maybe not!

Started the chassis notch today. One side done and finished. My welding isn't the best but its strong and will do the job.

Picked up a rusty old roof rack for a tenner off eBay.
    Cut and welded it down

    Now looks like this.

I'm going to wood it the same as the bed but can't decide what colour to paint the frame???

My exhaust center section is scraping on the floor. Do I just delete it? What's everyone else done?

You running a cable shifter, or standard rod setup? If it's rod setup, you should be able to adjust the exhaust up to sit inside the tunnel.

That being said, deleting it will fix it forever.

You're running an AAZ engine right? 1 silencer at the back should be ample

Its a cable shifter. It's a AHU engine from a MK3 with standard mk1 caddy back box.

Wooden slats. - to match bed

Vertices brackets - chrome (the ones that attach the rack to the roof)

Horizontal plates - gold (to match wheels)

Got some spring beech wood for the roof rack. Laid them on for a rough idea and think it will work out ok.
