9K 1.9 TDi daily project of sorts

Bought this back in July. It's a 2002 TDi. Fairly low milage for it's age, very little rust, and has been well maintained since new.

It is my daily. so cant really have it off the road much at the moment. For now im going over any wear and tear items that needs work, i have new motor mounts waiting to go on for example. Later on i will be doing most of the standard mods, you know coils, axle flip.. yadada.. Also some bodywork and stuff.

At the moment it is sitting on Momo Quasars with winter tires.

Old pics from when i got it

Read the post again mate :P
Coils, just caddys flip saddles, adjustable shackles, and shorter shocks are on my to do list. But there is no point doing it now in the winter. I will probably pick up an extra axle from the scrapyard to flip and refurbish so i can just swap it out fairly quick once i do it.

Swapped out all three motor mounts today, for some Febi Bilstein ones, and i used all new original hardware too.
The rear right one was a real pain in the ass due to the turbo placement.. But other than that it went smooth.

It feels much better now, but i was expecting more to be honest.. The engine still wobbles a bit when turning it off, and it still vibrates a bit at idle.
Maybe it gets better after i get some miles one them to break them in.

Had an MOT the other day, and it didnt pass due to a bad balljoint.. But other than that everything was up to spec. Got new Meyle joints on the way for both sides.
Once it passes i can start focusing on the fun stuff hopefully

I wish I had an arch roller, it's nice to see someone doing the job properly rather than using a baseball bat

Your not wrong, just checked eBay. Makes you wonder why people bother with a bat or bar when they are that cheap.
