Took me a solid 9 months or so to track down a set. I managed to find a ton of Mexican vendors who carries these, but after countless emails, the answer was always no international shipping, if i got a reply at all.
in the end i managed to find a Mexican VW enthusiast who helped me out

Was super tired after work today so didnt get all that much done, but welded the last peice i fabbed up on the van, and started testfitting the "new" hinges, and door. They fit pretty good sideways, but the top hinge bracket could do with a slight relocation further out, maybe 2-3mm or so

Due to a new paintshop beeing built and some other projects in my dads shop taking up space, not much has happened recently, other than that i trashed the gearbox in my Ibiza, so im breaking it for caddy parts now, and i just bought a beat up Polo estate as a new daily/future caddy parts car, Will get a fair few bits needed for the caddy from these two cars

So, my parts car for the caddy also turned into a parts car for my new parts car haha

The Polo estate i got to replace the Ibiza. Whole front end smashed and overall quite a beat up car, but up to date MOT and in fairly good mechanical condition, so was worth the 300 or so pounds i paid for it.

Swapped most of the front end over from the Ibiza to sort that out, also took the exhaust from it as the cat had fallen off on the polo haha.

Basically just need a grill and its good enough, might take the one from the caddy for now, as it will be a while untill i need it back on the caddy anyway, and by then i will probably have scrapped this car.
It really is worse than it looks in the photos.

Have a vw event coming up this weekend so decided to cut the springs a bit and slap my RM's on it.
Could do with another coil cut up front however, and the rear tires are 195/50's that are only temporairly on there, tomorrow a fresh set of 195/45's will replace them. Center caps will be installed aswell.

Havent done much to the van the past few months, i have picked up a cover for it, so i can take doors and such off and bring em to work to bodywork them, and i have dissmantled the Ibiza for all the bits i can use, including the dash.
Plenty of parts has been purchased, i'll do an update on that once everything has arrived.
