vw must have changed to design a little between the 12v and 12v as although the thickness of the coolers are the same the outer dimentions are slightly different.

Not much now, just the rear panels and the rear lower outer panel.
theres little bits here and there which we will finish off after we have mocked everything up and made sure any brackets/clips are fitted now before we strip it down again for paint.

made a little more progress last night

I probably won’t run the cover.

As I need to pop in and grab a panel for the rear quarter from Al we decided to start mounting the front end and make sure everything still lines up tonight

Santa’s been nice to me today and replaced my ball joint extenders as I had to return my last ones to Al on a re-call.
Can’t wait to get these fitted so I can properly start to build the front end up again

Hopefully this is the last of the rot lol

new panels have a coat of paint in readyness of fitting.
need to make up some new supports to support the rear panel and start cleaning the stonechip off.

I wish lol. May be next year.
so much still to do as were building a 4 link rear end plus a few other upgrades.
I’m just glad that it’ll be rot free

apart from scraping at it and showing it some heat how does everyone else remove it?

Cheers Dean. Dying to get some paint on it but still lots of prep work needed.
