Shaun what happened to your old shell?
I should have given you a call. I mentioned it to Jim but I guess he wanted me all to himself.

I think Jim has designs on my old shell. Is there anything you need from it?

So today I did my very first bit of welding...
It might not be much and it looks like a first attempt but I am proud to have not burned the building down or caused any serious injury. I now have brake lights!

Good job, going back many years I'm pretty sure some of my first welding was on exactly the same thing! It's where it all starts!!

Would anybody be able to 'steer' me in the right direction. I've popped some coilovers in the front of my wagon which has served to highlight a possible issue.
My left front wheel sits a little to the rear. I'm worried that it's been stuffed backwards a touch.
    Any thoughts?

I'll show both sides... Lower pic has my concern.

Luckily I had a spare lower arm with new bushes and new ball joint. Everything was identical with the exception of the bracket that holds the rear bush to the floor, it was slightly bent.
God knows how that made any difference, but it did.

Glad you found out what it was! The wishbone will always bend before the chassis ever would

If the rear bracket was bent that would do it.

There are two different types of bracket, anti-rollbar type and non anti-rollbar, both will work the same).

Whatever you do, don throw the ARB type away whatever you do, bent or not
