yeah i quite like a modern interior, a bit different but a few years ago i put a polo 6n dash in my mk1, enjoyed it for a bit then went back to the original after a year or two. how long until you're hoping to have it all complete?

    December just gone lol.

I hope to be done March, completed. Been making the strut turrets wider and higher this afternoon. Last structural bit before paint prep.

Wiring will be a headache too.

Might have to take TT clocks apart and marry the insides from the mk3 vr6 clocks/cluster

the caddy reminds me of that picture of a bird in a dress where some folks see gold & cream and some see blue and purple.

horrible colour scheme on paper but in real life it somehow works!

Cheers, I knew the colours would work, Gold compliments the Bamboo and cream really well, Jst unsure whether to paint the wheels gold or leave them black?

Its all good, I relocated the handbrake
I didn't flock the dash but its not shiny so maybe whoever owned the TT did. Not sure but I am pretty happy with it.

I know there will be a few of you that will ask why I didn't convert the TT clocks to work with the VR6.
Short answer is, it's an expensive pain in the arse. All sorts of converters, re wiring, fuel gauge and speedo problems. Not to mention the headache.

Well my solution was pretty simple, Make the cluster myself to fit the TT dash but using the mk3 cluster insides.

Pretty happy with the way it came out and to me looks OEM

    Impressive routing

I always picture what will come out of my routing efforts, and the actual out is never the same....

    Cheers.

I am not getting low enough at the front.
Completely aired the bags out but the KW coilovers must be so strong even with bag on 0psi that its not dropping.
Can anyone think of how I can go lower?
I cannot lower the bags anymore as they will rub on the wheels, and I have already made the turrets wider and slightly higher.
Maybe a question for over at suspention

I have taken off the springs and put bagovers in place.
Not getting low enough as cannot lower the bags further down as will rub the wheels

So far I have narrowed the track and widened the turrets.

Still no good, so now thinking of milling down the top of the bag overs and re threading

You can see the bags are so close with top of the tyre. I cannot wind them down and cannot space the wheel.
Maybe camber plates and chop the top of the dampers?

you can't chop the top of the damper on that assembly.

If you need to, speak to GAZ, I had them make shorter shocks for my caddy, by 1.5-2 INCH from the body
