Project Binky Celica GT4 into a Austin Mini

Not sure if this has been posted before or not, came across this on the Mig welding forum.

Bad obsession Motorsport are installing the running gear and engine form a Celica GT4 into an Austin mini, without lengthening it and trying to keep the bodywork standard, apart from the arch's.

    http://www.badobsessionmotorsport.co...project-binky/

It's a mega build, most of it is over engineered but it's a good watch.

yep very good - the guys are actually quite charismatic

in a kind of "I expect this will go wrong in the same way you watching know it will go wrong and I'm not infallible" kind of way

That's my evening sorted, Bear Grylls Island and Project Binky update - even the missus said it was quite entertaining.

Talking about quality TV - I caught an episode of Wheeler Dealers the other night where they were doing a Mk2 Escort.

What a surprise in this age of dumbed down TV to have Ed spend a fair chunk of the programme doing a LSD conversion in detail - rather than the usual "we bought this upgraded diff from X and fitted it, now back for 10 mins of Mike Brewer driving a car, talking shit and being an unbearable cunt"

Bafoons is a bit unfair, sure they are all 'fish out of water' but that's the idea of the program, wouldn't really work if you filled the island with bear grylls types.

I'd say the intake is intellectually a few rungs above the normal british public that seems to consist of fat lazy mouth breathing pondlife - if you note there's a distinct lack of tattoos, always a sure sign of intelligence

As for the tag line - I've never noticed it?

I'm obsessed by the program and have applied for every series - something I'd really love to have a go at.

It does seem that this series is geared more towards entertainment with the addition of sex and book selling cripples.

Binky was spot on as usual - and THAT JIG! Made from scratch? yeah right - some serious thought went into that.

    Exhaust pipe porn.

I want to know where they got mr flibble from - random red dwarf reference

I dunno, Maybe i'm just unfair or a sofa smart arse, but in the two clips of this series I have seen, they ran away from a fooking huge snake - that would have made a nice meal but presumably at that stage they weren't hungry enough,

Then they made a fishing net yesterday. now I have fished once in my life and it was so boring I gave up - but wtf were they going to catch in something with holes that big?! a whale??

Luckily they did find another one and even that had tiny holes in comparison and that caught a huge great shark!

Nearly everything is just so "wtf are you doiiiiiiiiinggggggg!!!!!!!??????"

but easy to say as a fatty from a soft in west Lothian.

    LOL re the tats

sackerly - they'd just landed on the island and were still in the 'oooh isn't it all very lovely stage'

I liked that first episode, the men just sat on the beach and cried like pussies until the tide came in and pushed them into climbing a rock face in the dark, the women having landed and having been told that they would loose the beach at high tide, they got their shit together and got moving, but then decided to drink from a stagnant puddle until they were sick, so decided to cure it by drinking some more typhoid.

Yes - again, I do exactly this, but as a 6 ft muscle bound blonde Adonis I'd obviously be able to cope no problem.

Why do they even piss about with nets in the sea, they are dangerous to shoot, catch very little, and what they do catch is normally rank because it is left dead in the net too long.

Get some nets/snares/traps set up in the undergrowth and catch some endangered species again.

heh just an observation..... note the inverse is true if you ever watch tattoo fixers, "we'll cover up that small insignificant scribble with a fucking huge skull or some shit that takes up half your leg using mostly dark ink that will look like a nasty bruise in 5 years time"

Strangely enough, watching that program actually makes me want to get a tattoo, then I realise OMG I'm SO indivijul and Uneek innit cos I got 0 tats LOL OMG ROFL

I was surprised that their shark wasn't rotten after festering in the nice (presumably) 25 degree water over night!!

I only saw the snake bit - I should go back at watch some more.

Tattoo fixers is great! some of the shit people get is so awesome. I liked that bellend that had the minge in his belly button - "he gets funny looks when he has his top off in the supermarket"

WTF WOULD YOU EVER HAVE YOUR TOP OFF IN A SUPERMARKET!!!!!!!!!!!
