things are picking up all over
    not down here it aint

Just been offered a job, they wanted a graduate engineer with fair bit of experience, pretty much what I was doing 20 years ago when I was on a shade over 18K, what are they offering 20 years later? 20 - 22k - I'd have laughed in their faces if I wasn't so insulted.

enough thread jacking, any more pictures/progress Abims?

    Agreed.

Would be good to see some "during" pics

Caddy looks in top nick - and that exhaust looks interesting!

Is that for a 'medical equipment' engineer? If so that is insulting, didn't you at least give a little derogatory comment?

Did you buy this one in south Wales?

    Thanks for the comments guys

Al, i'm ok with the new name thanks. The old caddy went a long time ago. You were right it was a 16v supercharged turbo. I got close to finishing it but in the end i sold it and it now lives in a mk1 as a 16vt

I'll get more pics up asap

Just finshed making a downpipe, now plumbing in the pas and the bias pedal box.

Tried a MK3 PAS rack but the ports on the rack were way to close to the Prop doughnut so a Lupo rack went in its place. Had to chop down the UJ a bit to make it line up, but all good now. Just need to weld in a panel for the bulkhead once I’m 100% with the rack position.

Mounted the brake and clutch reservoirs

    Made the downpipe

    Just clears the ARB

Engine and box are back out now as is all the wiring. Going to tidy up the engine bay and the wiring before the engine goes back in

Nice work Abe, good to see your cracking on with it mate

I will see it I can find pics of the pump install. But I ended up going over to and external pump, so I dont think you will have any issues as you are

Cheers all, I've got no excuses now that i know it runs.

@ Al, sounds like good advice. I'll stick with the external mk1 pump and on the plus side that means one less job to do
