Very nice, I like little details like that, the stuff that people don't notice at a quick glance...

What hp are you at now with that Porsche oil cap or is it just torque it adds.
Fun Size... I dont get it. What's so funny about half a mars bar?

Did you fit the diff yourself or send it to a specialist?

I really don’t blame you jo....honestly. Knowing what I know now, I would’ve paid someone too. Did you use some arp ring bolts?

How much did they charge you, if you don’t mind me asking

As Webb 781 said above, "its all the little touches" that you don't pick up on straight away.

The van is coming along nicely, I'm sure you've managed to piss off a few people in their posh motors.

Can you notice much difference with the lift pump?

I've been researching it over the past year along with other bits and gathering parts so when I start on the van I know exactly what has to be done and have all the parts to hand.

I rang Awesome today and they were unsure if they ever had a black coolant cap replacement for a Caddy's 1H0 121 321D
Could you tell me the p/n for yours?

What other plans have you got lined up for the van?

    The smile factor is brilliant!
People just don't get it lol.
Washer bottle cap came from awesome.the expansion cap is of a mk3 golf td. I will get you the part no tomorrow.
Lift pump does help. I fitted it ready for my 11mm pump. If your not planning 200hp + then it's not really needed.
Plans of what's next, get the 11mm pump on. Sort some paint bits out and fit some of the bits I have been collecting. Have a few other bits planned but I'm keeping them quiet for now

I think this might be my favourite build.

i remember reading that the rods start bending on these engines around the 220hp stage, Is this going to be an issue?

Not an issue at present! Im at 222bhp now. From all the research I have done they reckon about 250hp it's time for stronger rods time will tell!

I used to get the smile factor (not able to drive atm) when driving my MR2 Turbo running 310bhp, not as much a sleeper than your's but still fun.

I've already got the washer bottle cap, but been on the lookout for the coolant expansion tank cap.

My goal is 180 - 200 ish by the time I'm finished, I've got an ALH in the van already approx 140ish bhp. But I've got an ASV engine from an Ibiza which had the head gasket go, so I'll try and take it apart check for damage and get it all put back together and painted up ready to be transplanted.
I'll be fitting the lift pump as it can't do much harm.

I'll look forward to you future updates.
