First thing that needs replacing, the hose that runs from the top of the rocker cover across to the top of the air box has fallen to bits at one end, are replacements available?

The hose in question connects these:
The worse wing
Better wing
Really angry with myself for doing this whilst debadging...
Fuel filler cap surround could do with replacement?
A quick hoover did the floor pan a world of good
Was this much noise insulation standard?

Wow, that looks a good base!
You should immediately give it to me!
Fuel cap/neck bit seems to quite often crack around that area, tidy replacements aren't easy to find in my experience
In relation to the rubber hose I need, the part number is 068 109 403 A, could I ring Volkswagen direct with this and hope?
It's all my 13 mwahaha.
I'm not overly bothered I guess about the filler cap, never mind.
Update for the last few days work, no pics I'm afraid: Jacked up, wheels off, hub nuts off, brake drums off, seats out, sh*t rubber carpet out, good hoover around, loads of plus gas on the front struts and rear axle bolts maybe they'll be out tomorrow!
Might have the coilovers on at the weekend if Al decides to respond to my email![]()
If that's the worst wing then I wouldn't bin them. Clean them up and gas-weld in any missing bits. There is no wing like a genuine wing........
I've been in contact with a friend's dad about getting some welding done, I'll keep you guys up to date![]()
is it possible to bend rubber hose? I would quite like it to look proper, I guess the ultimate answer is to find someone with a dead 1.6D
try calling vw, sometimes they surprise you!
couldn't match the part number to anything on their database, ah well!
reciveed some lovely bits from Al today! quick question; in which directions should the extra holes in the axle spring saddles face? I half expected some basic instructions![]()
I'm planning on doing the flip tomorrow so if anyone knows now would be a good time to pipe up![]()

Extra hole should be forwarded to move axle back.
when welded, the offset holes need to be towards the front of the caddy so it pushes the axle backwards![]()
Thanks one and all, I look forward to seeing the lows tomorrow!
Another question for you brains out there, I've bought a 9 inch servo from a mk2 golf GTI and a new 22mm master cylinder from Classic VW, however my old reservoir doesn't fit the new MC, is this because I've got the wrong MC or at some point my caddy has had a new reservoir?
Thanks, Rufus
Dont you need a MK2 resevoir for a mk2 cylinder?
yeah you do, I once read this and its pretty true unfortunately 'a plastic bottle that holds brake fluid, its reassuringly expensive'
Right oh.. Will I need the cap off a mk2 golf reservoir also or does the mk1 item fit? Thanks in advance!
