I can't wait Mike, can't be too long now.

Mainly waiting on the engine loom at the minute before it's key turn time!

Happened to click on the first page of your build thread and then the last. Fantastic. Looking great. Itching to see the end result. Go well. James.

Thanks James, I'm also itching to get it out the shed ASAP.

Today's frustration has been the rear left brake not bleeding, think either the master cylinder is dead or perhaps the wheel cylinder. Just refuses to bleed..

No? Is that advised? never wound it all the way out, just loosened, pushed pedal down, and tightened again

The nipples orifice might be blocked with rust

So the problem ended up being a leaking compensator valve. A classic Caddy issue.

I bought a second hand replacement in the hope it would fix the issue.

The replacement also leaked, so now things have gone a bit medieval

Bye bye compensator. It'll be replaced by some proportion valves from a Mk1 Focus

Rolled her out of the shed today for a bit of motivational admiring.

Still waiting on loom, so not too much more to be done in the mean time really. Hopefully going off to have an exhaust made on Wednesday.

Blenki, the quote I got a couple of years back when I last had it on the road for a 1.9 130 horse was 650 quid, going up to 800 if I remapped it to 170. I'd imagine now I'm a couple of years older and more experienced it might drop to 500 ish? Also I'll probably not remap it, and instead drop in a PD150 turbo and map it at the same time maybe in 12 months time

You guessed it guys, I am over the moon, just tidying up now and hopefully have an MOT by the weekend
