Making the most of the bad weather intended working on caddy but Lee called and and suggested time would be better spent on the mk1 bay,as if smoothing one bay isn't enough,I must officially be registered anyway very close to paint

So more progress today, few hours on the caddy this morning and the afternoon spent on the mk1

Few of the other builds going on

    IMG_3609.jpg
Love the doors on this french classic

    IMG_3610.jpg

And Lee decided to pull out his caddy last night and by 3am this morning had straightened out the sides

    IMG_3603.jpg

    IMG_3604.jpg

The cherry red Ford paint is spot on

    IMG_3605.jpg

And a little bonus, sourcing the parts for the rebuild,£180 for a stainless filler pipe decided to look out the old one and see if I could maybe have it powder coated it was covered in some sort of grease and red paint but with a little bit of exploration and elbow grease this is what was underneath the mess

    all of that was £60?

sounds inexpensive - is it coz you do the prep polish?

Quite simply yes,I sent some parts to Ashfords several years ago and it cost me an arm and a leg even though Id done the polishing, obviously they have taken a "shine" to me,at SMB. but they are probably comparable to everybody else under normal circumstances. To be fair the hardest part is the prep, all they have to do with the parts I take there is wire them up
