    Polo 6n2 gti 20v project

After not having a project for about 6 months and changing jobs 3 time's I've decided i need a car to pkay with. So picked this up for £100.

It's a 1.6 16v gti running on 3 with a knackered gearbox so thought I might aswell fire a AGU 20v engine in it with a Ko4 turbo and a CTN gearbox.

I wanted to buy before she got it but didn't want to pay 550 for it. I knew she'd have it fucked in no time so just waited till she was ready to scrap it.

Although got a bit carried away in the field on Saturday and nearly rolled it through a sandstone wall. Think the sooner I pull the engine out the better.

All the unwanted air con stuff stripped out.

Both the subframe bolt captive nuts are spinning so the subframe will have to come out on Saturday when I've got more time.

    Subframes out

Next to cut mount cups off caddy subframe and weld them on to the polo subframe.

Haven't picked engine up yet, too busy at work. It's only in Carlisle so might get it at the weekend. Subframe is in my mates workshop and he's shutdown for Xmas but hopefully he'll be about next week so I can pick it up. Need to get it bolted in so I can mock up the front cross member and engine mount.

What happened to that blue Rado?

I keep thinking about more horse powers, as I keep reading about all the other 1000hp 1.8s.... what spec is yours?

I'm just concerned about the daft torque curve in it, well not concerned but I don't want it to be a waste of time lol

13, look at the General Lee Audi 80

i'd not seen this thread either, looks fun

why do they put the engine the wrong way round, with the exhaust exiting at the front?

Not completely sure of spec yet. My mate was running his BAM engine for 2 years engine and turbo on aftermarket management mapped to 300 bhp and never had a problem with it. It's in bits now getting 4wd and bigger turbo.
