Damn you RichT I was watching this hoping it didn't sell again..... then go and buy it....!

been looking at cars like this or similar for a while, then the GF loses her job and I can't justify spending money on another car. she just gets herself a new job and I start hunting again and someone beats me to it.........

    What are the plans?

lol, I've been debating about it all day and had a few best offers declined on it too. Initial plans are to stick a TDI in it as it will be Lizzies daily driver, in fact she was the one that talked me into accepting his counter offer. After that Im not sure, I'll have to see how good/bad it is once it's home.

I'll have you know my offer for the Mk1 was four figures (and no there wasn't a decimal point in there), which was quite good for me.

Mate if it's still the turbo D all you need to do is fit a decent pump with LDA and an intercooler - should be a cheeky little soot monster then

Ive got a feeling it's dead, apparently the heads off and it wants an engine but I'll see when I get it back, theyve been messing with the pump and boost, so anything could have happened. If it will go back together and run then I'll just stick with whats in there.

It'll either be an AHU or 1Z, if it ends up with an engine change. Or maybe an AGR as Ive got one here but the wirings more complex, where as the other 2 are plug and play.

Haha, was thinking of a mk1 I saw the other day, had the square lights on the front, but think it was a jetta front, which would explain why I liked it

It's the back ends of the Rado that are the most offensive
