Opening quarter lights and chrome trim fitting

Seems to be the million dollar question at the moment, to which i've had several replies.

How does the chrome trim attach to opening quarter light window seals?

I've been told theres 2 types of seal - one with a 3rd groove to accept the chrome trim

I was also told, that this only applies to the earlier glue on type window seals???

Have also been told there is no difference in the seal, and the opening quarter light seal is the only seal to not be specific for the trim fitting

Anyone shed some light on the matter who's actually fitted some??

Did you have the glue-on glass or bolt through type?

    Help!

Did you get an answer to this? I’ve got chrome trim to fit and opening quarter windows from a cabriolet. Does the seals just wedge in behind the trim or overlap or is there a specific seal or modification required?

    Thanks
    Andrew

Seems I got lucky.. my opening quarters (from US Cab / late bolt on window type) had a suitable flap of rubber so all sorted and looks great.

Opening quarters DO NOT or never have had have a specific rubber seal, unlike the fixed quarters do.

Rubbers are all the same on opening quarters regardless
