Caddy No.1 - in glorious Technicolor

Well now, been a long olé time in the making - plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Here's a rubbish iPhone pics from the wedding on the weekend. Proper D-SLR pics on their way later on tonight.

So here you go, be gentle, there's lots of things I'm not happy with and compromises I had to make to get it ready in time to get my pal Andy to the Church.

    Big thanks go to...
Iowa Caddy: for helping me with properly rare items, shipping things from the 'States and generally giving freely of his time.
Blenki: It really and truly wouldn't have been ready without the hands on help and moral support from Blenki over the last month or so. Another diamond fella who has put himself out and asked for nothing in return.
My Dad: for lending me his experiance in bodywork and the countless hours put in on the bed replacement, tailgate and every other aspect of the bodywork. Any recognition for the bodywork/paint should go to him. Especially as he can't stand working on motors any more and just did it for the love of his boy. Thanks Dad
Miss Monkey: for putting up with me and the truck for so long, giving me moral support and a kick up the arse to get in the garage at times. Even if it was just taking the dog for a walk so I could get on. It's all made a difference and is much appreciated.

The rest of it, I'm proud to say is all me

Here's a few shots. Will put more up as they come through and will do a build thread of some sort.

    Wedding shots...

Thanks fellas, I hope it's not a disappointment, having kept everyone wait I kind of felt it had to be better before being shown but now it's on the road I keep thinking why didn't I get it done sooner -it's great to have it usable!

Kind of, it's not the originally supplied plate. Was on the truck when I bought it and when the previous owner bought it. I've known the truck since '94 when Andy's boss bought it in std Sport guise for his plant nursery. Andy is the guy who got married so the truck had a connection on a few different levels.

The underside - pic from MOT

Pulling off the driveway at stupid o clock for the MOT. Snapped by Blenki, who insisted on following me to make sure I had backup if anything went wrong - thankfully he wasn't required in that capacity! The kind of wing man we all need.

Was the bed that straight originally, or did you put in a world of effort to get it that straight? It looks bloody amazing!

Months of pain mate - cut the ends off the genuine replacement panel and shaped each end by hand.
    Thanks Dad
