    Harry, for those of us who haven't been following from the start any chance of a couple of shots of the side / back / inside of your van?

    I'm told it's one of the best

    Made a start at gutting whats left of the interior of the van.
    Pulled the interior loom out too. Going to try find a new interior loom because its a bit butchered for my liking, someone fitted a cobra alarm at one stage in its life and its just a mess.20180331_125430.jpg

    I also went bald headed at the tt to get the loom out of it. Not the easiest job. The loom does not separate so I had to cut unnecessary bits off it such as all the wiring for the doors and all the other wiring for the back of the car. Only back end piece I saved was for the fuel pump. I then had to cut the bulk head with a tin snips to get the loom through.
    Made a start on unravelling that horrible bastard loom tape so I can start stripping away unneeded wires.

    Maybe Im a bit deluded, but I can see this taking too long to be running. Lengthening the loom to be tucked might be another story though......

    I think/hope I'm doing the right thing here with this loom so far

    I started nearest the fusebox end of the loom, unravelled the black tape as I went, cut unneeded plugs along the way, chased back each wire from the plugs and cut them out.
    Off the top of my head I have the following bits cut out of the loom; right and left door connections, airbag ecu plug, dash buttons (heated seats, traction control, hazards) heater matrix controls bar 2 plugs, abs, right side headlights and indicators. I think thats it for the moment

    I plan on separating the headlight wiring from the caddy loom and adding it in to this loom.

    Heres how the loom looks at the minute. I'm almost down to the engine loom on its own.

    Didn't bother with work today so I spent 6 hours in the shed on my knees snipping at the loom.
    Managed to get the rest of the aircon wires out, the other headlight, horn, SAI, dsg and a few other bits, cant think off the top of my head.
    Also managed to split the loom in 3 pieces which I didnt realise could be done.
    Piece number 1

    The sai, evap, dsg was cut off this.
    The big plug for the ecu, throttle pedal, ecm, lambdas, a vac valve which Ive no idea what it does (maybe to do with the sai), 2 plugs which im unsure about and the starter remain on it.

    The engine loom. I havent gone near this with the snips yet. Theres not that much to take off this, if even anything at all.

    Power/earths/fuses etc....
    A huge amount came off this, all the convenience bits basically.
    The fan plugs, fan control, alternator, starter relay, remains of the steering column plugs and clock plugs is all thats left on this.

    I may not have that much extending to do for tucking, there seems to be plenty of length on the engine loom, may just mean moving the ecu to the passenger side

    Progress went in reverse last year. I took it off the axle stands, put it on dollies and shoved it in a corner.
