so ill give you all a brief run down of my van and keep you up to date as i progress
    its a 2002 caddy tdi
bought it bog standard apart from rear shelving and tints back in feb
it had 107000 miles on it and 3 previous owners

i bought the van with intension of giving it a clean euro look so i started straight away with the small changes,
i did all the basic mods fisrt, clear indicators, cordoba mirrors, matt black vw badges, remove rear wiper, remove door strips, pressed german plates and pink brakes

after some little things were out of the way I wanted to splash out on a new set of wheels. I saw the calibre dub 15x7.5 and thought it looked good and suited a budjet, so i bought them off rimstyle.co.uk

at this stage i was happy enough for the moment!!

in march i went to dubshed in belfast with my mate in his 1 off show only and show winning bagged 2k caddy!

i had my van scrubbed up as good as i could

unfortunatly on the way home from the show i had a small crash, I ran into the back of an octavia vrs that was also at the show and was an award winning car
only a scratch on him caddy needs new bumper, which i am currently getting sprayed.
that was a major draw back for me and was fault of brakes which needed bleeding!!

but anyway i soldiered on, flushed the brake fluid, now the brakes work fine, i also got drilled and grooved discs to try help

being happy enough that the brakes work i got a tuning box and did a dpf
delete. i like to believe its giving a comfortable 120-130bhp now because the tb is adjustable and i have it up full its also nice and torquey now

so the next step of my euro process was to go down!
a mate of mine had a brand new set of coilovers, which he had for a vento but never used, i got them off him for 150 euro.
dont know what make they are but they have a black spring and red locking nuts.
dont have a close up pic of them out of the van, but anyway.
we put the coilovers in in 20mins dead, fully screwed to the ground , the front wheels couldnt even move
so they were adjusted up and pushed the top of the hub in to give a bit of camber
That night i drove around with just the front lowered

    http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1304695907

next day i gave it to one of my mates to flip the beam cuz he done it before,
i didnt have any part in this cuz i was working

this was it straight after it was lowered, the back had to re-settle and the coilovers had to be lowered a little bit more because they wer uneven and it handled like jelly, they have settled a bit now and i want to lower it further on the back

i luv it low now and its still comfortable and not that bouncey, it dosent like speed bumps or country roads though, but **** it! the under tray is taking a beating and im gonna have to change the tyres all round for stretched ones to clear the arches better,

Best way is to upload pics onto photobucket, then copy each link starting with [IMG] and paste into here. Ooh lots of silver mk2s in the avatars in here! Sam

from looking through other members there is alot of them in this colour, it must be very popular in the uk cuz here in ireland most of them are white or dark blue, that wud be why i went for the silver because theres not many around

Yeah there's a few on here, but it's really not a common colour in this part of England either - in fact I don't ever remember seeing another in the flesh. Most you see around here are also white, but I do wonder if maybe the 'special colour' vans were bought more by private buyers and therefore better looked after - hence some nicer examples now finding their way into the hands of enthusiasts?
