    Notching the chassis....

Is it strictly reserved for the very low, rolling on 13's with 2 inch blocks ? Basically at what point would it be a problem ?

    Axle flip

Newbie here and I'm curious to know by how much will it lower the rear of my MK1 caddy if I flip axle without any other lowering devices such as blocks. So to summerise how much does a basic axle flip lower the rear of the car by?

    thanks

Sorry don't know if I just missed this but I have just flipped my axle gone to put the wheels back on and they seem really close to the arch as in not central have I done anything wrong or anything I can do to centralise them? Also wondering if they centre a little when let down back on its wheels thanks,

    Chadders, it's common
you need to drill the axle to centre it.

Full detailed info in the "how to" section.

It's not how you drill the axle it's where the hole in the spring saddle is.

Look at how these are for example.

Where abouts is the how to section? I have been researching it and seen about people making new blocks and offsetting the pin also when it's let back down on its wheels will it centralise a little because one wheel is slightly closer to the arch than the other what a pain lol!

might have the springs the wrong way round if its nearly touching the front of the wheel arch, worth checking with a tape measure

Yeah i had the n/s spring on the wrong way around first and the wheel wouldnt even go on so i swapped that one around and now the wheel goes on but just sits very close i measured the lengths so theyre now equal but just cant see why one sits further forward
