I'm working on my vintage dash and want to change the speedometer and tach faces to white. I can't get the needles off. The spoons and fork methods don't work. There is some sort of lock, which I can't figure out. It is a Coraddo g60 dash. Please Help? Thanks

If you scrap it save the bumper and flares. Here in the states those are hard to come by. Also if you want to make a Targa Top you will need the first section of the top and the windshield frame.

SANY0401.jpgSANY0398 - Copy.jpgYes I do have more pictures, but I don't know how to post multiple pictures with out them opening as attachments. For now I will post just a couple. Here I have cut down the Coraddo dash to make it flat and built the foundation for the dash.

SANY0402.jpgSANY0403.jpg The 1st picture shows the form I made in my metal brake to shape the 2 top front edges of my dash. The 2nd shows how I rolled the drivers side of the dash. Then I just flipped it over and rolled the other side backwards. Then my son welded them together as shown in an above shot. I'm sorry I don't know how to properly attach a series of pics.

Thanx for the reply. Do you mean it would look better if it was all metal? I really never thought of all metal, but I think that would have been a great idea! But I doubt if I will ever do another, but if I did, I would do real steel. Jim

I was thinking either all metal or even plastic (or a padded) insert

but it still looks cracking - I'm not criticising at all!
