    Ultra Long, Rat-Look Radio Ariels

Does anyboby know where one could get hold of one of those ridiculously long car ariels. Im thinking one would look pretty on my rat caddy. Even any pictures of cars with them would be nice.

If you want to look rat like, get a piece of old wire, make sure its nice and bent, and then whack it in the old aerial mounting, and fix it in place with some rusty nails, and to top it off put a zip tie on the top of it! Thats what my caddy has at the moment due to the brilliant make do and mend theory of the previous owner Works really well weirdly enough

I got an empi one for my bug, twin side mounted one from Volksrange. It was hugely long and was really fat at the bottom. It looked awesome. Think it cost me about £12 ish. Call Jason 01642 670306 at Volksrange. They have an ebay shop so they may be able to help. I'll see if i can dig out a pic of my bug to show you the style.

Although it may have to wait til tomorrow as I think I have a hot date tonight!

well thanks chaps im gonna look into all of your suggestions, that 5 foot areal looks mental for now though the coat hanger is working miricles, actually giving me better reception that the standard ariel! and yes dave, unfortunatly as soon as my girlfriend worked out that you could bend my coathanger it has formed a rather embarresing heart shape

Yeah I miss that bug greatly. Sold her on ebay last year I had her on here for a while trying to swap for a caddy but nothing doing!!!

She looked even better when the wheels were shined up. I'd just doused them in polich to try and protect them for the winter!
