Just finished fitting my speakers. I Have a crappy sony head unit which i will change when i get a sub, but have two infinity 13cm speakers in the centre console and two infinity 6x9s behind the rear seats which are amped by a vibe black box2 sub, under the seat. This makes quite the noise and i like it a lot but need a sub. My idea is to get a vibe 10" active and make a box in the rear bulkhead for it, then get a new head unit to run two preouts meaning i could put two more infinities in the doorcards :D .
Just wondering what everone else has done in their trucks there must be some ingenious space saving devices out there.

oh by the way, a quick way of mounting speakers behind the seats. get a board, cut two peices so they fit neatly behind each seat, cut two notches in each to clear the seat runners. Put a speaker in the board. Then wedge the board in between the recess in the rear bulkhead and slide the seat back so it locks. simple rattle free speaker mounts. I will post piccys soon of the whole temporary system.

Sony head unit (which desparately needs replacing),
2x longmill amps, one big, the other even bigger,
6" midbass in the doors,
tweeters in the dash and 10" sub in contoured box between seats.
All speakers are "Directed" brand (part of car audio labs i believe).
Not mega bassy but nice and tight.

My little gem has an AM/FM Stereo pushbutton radio. I'll be replacing the stock 3.5" dash speakers with some quality units soon and then adding satelite radio.

i haven't strated it yet but my plan is to fabricate two box's one behind each seat with holes for a sub facing the seat and holes on the sides of the box for a 6x9 (or probably smaller alternative).
two boxes three speakers each
hide the amps under the seats! :thumbs_up

Make sure you put baffles in the box to protect the 6x9s or whatever full range speakers you use from the sub. The air moved by the sub could rip the speakers apart!
Also make sure you have some way of cooling the amps, hot amps die very quickly!!
Good luck dude and welcome
