I know theres a few of you on here, just wanted to know what you did with your fueling and fuel pumps/tanks etc :i_dont_kn
Ive got all my original 1.6 set up and the entire 1.8 16v set up.
Whats the best way round it guys?

Cheers for any help in advance - Chris :thumbs_up

I had fitted a fuel pump with an adjustable pressure, think it was a "race" type pump. I went from 1.6 to 1.8 16v

I need to kow this too. The Mk2 16v pump, filter and accumulator setup is prooving a little tricky to mount under the bed. :(!

Cant you weld a bit of flat metal to a jubilee clip (or exhaust clamp) and use the clip to hold the Pump in place and then screw through, bolt or weld the flat piece of metal under the bed?

Oh, just remembered, mine had a "return" on it too. Dunno if that is of any help?

Return super important on injections! I think you can use the old tank easy enough. The original pump is in tank (?) and then leads to the accumulator thats keeps the fuel pressure constant. Pipe then goes up to fuel rail (digifant) or fuel distributor (k-jet). This then takes a proportion of the fuel (dependent on engine revs/air flow into engine) and returns the rest (i.e. unused) to the fuel tank.

You can easily get out of tank pumps

why not just use the old pump and the fuel dizzy for the 16v? was this a carbed set-up before? if the truck was using cis, then it should flow enough fuel and pressure for the new motor and injection. or is everything different across the pond?

Ive thought about this, after looking at Al's and BIG VR's internal pump change I was wondering if a similar thing is possible for the valver :i_dont_kn
Mine was originally a 1.6 carb, but Ive still got the entire mk2 setup.
What do you reckon guys?
