82 caddy Fuel Tank

anybody know where to get a new/used fuel tank for a 82 caddy?
of if another vw one will fit?

If you live in the states, a local junkyard has them and I see them on eBay on occasion as well. Google Austin Vee Dub, they have at least two on hand.

where you located. i have one out of the 81 i just got. if you want a look at it search for the title will be parting out caddy soon. there is a lot of parts on there i want to sell and nobody wants them.

i am located in central Pennsylvania.
my fuel tank leaks and looking at options to get another or look into refurbish the one i got, most seem to have rust all up in them that my friends had found. are you going to post when your ready to sell some items?

Would you be willing to sell the sending unit from that tank?? The guage in my '82 won't read full if the diesel is running out the filler tube!
