is the 12mm feed or the 8?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me positively which size line is the feed and which is the return, basically which one has the strainer on the end?

Thanks Al. I know that sounds logical but I work in the aquarium industry and filters actually are the opposite for aquariums because the gravity drain needs a higher capacity then the pressurized flow, besides that the worthless Bentley manual showed both nozzles as the same size and my tank had a strainer for petrol so I know it wasn't originally from a Diesel. I had to search here just to be sure I had the right tank.
