What fuel pump setup ?

Hi,

I was wondering what fuel pump setup I should use for my (KR Engine) k-jet 16v caddy.

I understand that I can use the k-jet fuel pump from any mk1 GTI (EV / DX Engine) and that the Mk2 (PB Engine) 8v Digifant pump is not suitable.
I want to know if I can use the k-jet pump from a mk 2 which has the fuel filter and accumulator attached in one unit.

Will I need the in-tank lift pump from the mk2 also ?
Will it fit into the caddy fuel tank ?
If not, would it be possible to fit the Mk2 tank onto the caddy ?

I'm about to do the same job, ok when I can be bothered :I

I'll be using a MK2 K-jet pump as it has the lot in one unit and fuel lines, just need to make some mounts to mounts it.

You don't need the lifter pump as the outlets are on the bottom of the caddy tank so I see no point in fitting it ( anyone comfirm ) and you have to drop the tank for that....all 4 bolts and filler neck IIRC :D

No need to try and fit the MK2 tank, to much bother and you may need a custom filler neck.

If you can get the caddy sport pump then it should be bolt on and factory looking I guess.
