It's a turbo diesel pump. It'll give you 10,000 PSI on an average day.

It was only a joke actually.

MK1/2 8/16v pumps will all work with the ABF lump. If you are using the digifant electronic fuel injection (as fitted as std on the ABF) then they will be more than good enough maybe overkill, but if you find out the delivery rate and volume of the original pump then you can match up an aftermarket pump to suit.

IF you plan on running the ABF with K-Jetronic then use the 16v setup as you will need the accumulator

:td

EDIT. Just check with my Autodata book, it doesnt give me the delivery pressure but the system pressure is 3.0 bar as opposed to 4.7 - 6.0 bar of the k-jet pumps

thanks Al .. and ill be using the k jet set up so i take it that ill need all that would be on a mk2 16 v with k jet.. as regards to the fuel delivery i have all the engine parts....

Yes 16v setup is your best bet in that case, even the MK1 gti pump would be good enough as many people with MK1 16v's run with this setup:thumbs_up plus the mk1 pump assy is less bulky and easier to fit next to the tank:)
