View Full Version : deisel tank into a petrol caddy ?

after weeks of trying to find a "new" tank i stumbled across a farm with 3 scrap caddys all deisel so i got a tank them my mechanic mate said its no use as they are completly diffrent . does anyone know . cos i like to use the petrol not put it all over the road . cheers scott

cheers but it was a perfect swap i can now use all the petrol i buy . but i noticed the head gasket was gone , dammit !!!!

I thought there wouldn't be any probs with using a diesel tank in a gasser. That's what I'd always heard, anyway. The diesel tanks seems to not rust out as quickly as the gas ones. I have a diesel tank, if anyone is looking. Zelreth, you ever find one?
