you have carbs on that? if so, it might be the choke needing to be adjusted. that is if it is only around start up, otherwise check the air/fuel mixture

carburettor yes.. but i have no choke, it starts fine though(ive been told it could be the "needle and seat" in the carburettor its either starving the fuel or flooding with fuel... im beddazled.

Do you know if you have traditional points style ignition? If so they might be gummed up like my gas engine was but a new dist. cap, rotor, points and condensor seemed to do well for not much $. I think a better idea would be to pop a diesel in there and then it always sounds like it has issues.

So, of the three criteria needed for it to run correctly, you have now ruled out fuel and air, so it can only be the spark... timing? points? plugs? coil?

i went to a good mechanic today ! he reckons its the rubber seal under the carb! its very warn! so air is sucking in! makes a hell of a lot of sence! so im dropping it off on wednesday hes going to fit a new one, and fit new housing around my belts. repair brake fluid sensor, fix my speedo ,cv joints for R600 .converted = 50gbp
what you guys think ?? is it worth it ? good/ bad price ? let me know !! thanx alot!! :)

Get it done, then enjoy some smooth caddying!!!

hey guys !!! listen too this!!! i just found out that the idiots that last serviced my caddy lined the rubber seal under my carb with SILICON !! :([xx(][V] i mean really how dumb can you get obviousely the petrol will eat it away! haha any way.. i spoke to my mech today he sorted out my carb, brake lights, steering rack. readjusting back brakes, new speedo cable!! all for 400 rand /34gbp
now that is a deal!! :)
