Just wondering what a MOT is? I thought it was british slang for "motor" but the last topic I read made it sound a bit like it's some type of inspection.
Thanks for your patience!

In England, when a vehicle reachs 3 years old it has to have a Ministry Of Transport(MOT) test carried out.Local vehicle workshops are licenced to do this. This checks that the vehicle is safe to be on the road.Brakes, suspension, engine emissions, steering, tyres, lights, seat belts and structure of vehicle as well as a number of other items are all checked. If these are not satisfactory, you are issued with a list of items that have failed this test and are then able to rectify the problems before bringing the vehicle back for a retest.
After this first test at 3 years old, the test is repeated annually.
Do you have any similar rules to us in the states?
I hope this is of some use to you.
Regards
Mark

It's the same exact thing we have in New York, but it's just called an "Inspection".
Thanks for your patience!
