Been wanting a caddy for some time now and picked this one up the other nite and couldn't be happier.

A hell of a lot of work but will be worth it in the end. :D

Currently drive a polo G40........G40 engine into a caddy hmmmm???

ANyway the engines seems to be running well so just need to sort out the bodywork and wheels and then possibly change the engine.

Hopefully one day it will look as good as some of the others on here!!

welcome m8,
the bed on yours looks just as good as mine i bought on saturday. Talking to a guy that has done a few show pickups, he says the best thing to do is to strip it down and get it shot blasted to find the rust spots and to clean them up so you can weld up where it needs it. I've just bid on a shot baster to havve a go at doing mine :)

Had a kind offer the other nite of this........

So now it is sat in my mates workshop :D as the body is a lot better than the other one i got last week so hopefully two not so good caddies will become one pretty good one.

The underside of this is pretty much rust free compared to the blue one so will be using this and taking any parts from the blue one to make this a pretty solid car.

Am gonna stick with the diesel engine for the time being seing as i now have two to keep it running. Main priority is to get at it with a sand blaster sort out the rust and then start with getting it painted. Just need to sort out the colour to do it hmmm!
