Just to let you all know that the forum will be down tomorrow morning whilst it is being upgraded to the latest software version.

When it comes back it will look different and probably a bit messy!

But the forum will work normally once its back up so just continue about you business as per normal.

Jim & I will then work to get things back to normal, but better! :thumbs_up

when you say AM, do you mean my kind of AM (from midnight till about 7) or do you mean the (as far as i can tell) fictitious AM where the daywalkers apparently leave their hovels and potter about around train stations and the like??

Al, are we going to have a build section, as it's a mare trying to remember where everyone's are kept.....

would there be a function to have a specific address for our build threads such as www.vwcaddy.com/mlbv and have those open to the word so that we could promote them on our facespaces and suchlike??

i mentioned this before (a few years ago) but as things are changing here it might be something you could look into...

Don't know how to do it Jim, Feck! I've only just got my head round, adding images.... It may be easy for you, but i haven't spent my life behind a p.c!

As you can see, the forum looks completely different!

Its still a work in progress so visually it will change on a daily process. But the good news is that we will not have to take the forum off line to make any of "cosmetic" changes :)

If you are having trouble login in, then delete any bookmarks and cookies for this website, and make sure your browser is directed directly to www.vwcaddy.com

The forum may seem a little slow at the moment, whilst it is runs recalculations on thread and post counts for the keyword search.

Also, some of the added on software that we had in the old version will NOT work with this latest version (VB Garage for example), so over the coming days we will decide whether to upgrade (where possible) or lose the feature altogether

Have fun

Al :td

Just one last thing; The software is also new to us, so we may not have answers to your questions until we are more familiar ourselves.

Told the boss to fuck off first thing this morning (been fairly eventful since then) finally got out of bullshit meetings, to be greeted by facebook-like activity timeline when I tried to log into my favourite forum.

Think I've got my head round what's happened, seems like the same old bellends are on here talking the same old shyte. Nice one!

Well the transition was done by our new hosting company so that part was easy for me :D License costs are $249 I think.

I see its on PHP BB. If its only a small community then you might be better off leaving it on that :i_dont_kn

Just noticed one thing. When I click on my user name, then on "view forum posts" it shows today's post and skips back to 2008. No posts in between:screwy:

Yeah that's odd!:screwy:

On the upside back in 2008 I was threatening someone with "laying a monkey curse on their ass" lolol

What are you viewing it on, a potato? I have quad 52" plasmas because I'm so fucking ace and it looks just fine

Oh and I'm liking the extra options on quick reply saves me having to remember [thingummys]

Not loving that I cannot search for old posts

Also the add image wont work for me unless I uncheck the 'retrieve and store locally option' not a biggy as I've always linked my images, but I undrstand that you might want the local storage to prevent the loss of images in an interesting useful thread, so no use for the ballbags I post.

I just searched for old stuff and get a result in quick time and exactly as suspected. Thread from 2005 too!

first I did an advanced search for 'monkey curse' written by dubmonkey (just to see if it was me being threatened)

when that didn't work I searched 'girdle' written by regcheeseman

when i got no results for either I got bored and had a wank instead - yep monkey, I was thinking of you.
