hi all. .

after passing my test last april i was in the market for a small comercial vehicle that was big enough to sleep in the back of for a couple of days (as i'm a keen surfer) but still economical and small enough to use for my daily comute.

i now own a x reg seat inca 1.9 sdi which is stock :D

i have designed a fold out bed and have had it built by my mate who's a wood butcher. . .

i will post pick up when i get back from work.

cheers,
CF

i was down n'wales in it at the weekend, i will get the photos off my buddy next time i see him and upload more recent pictures of it.

That is simply awesome :D

You may wanna invest in some insulation though, as all vehicles have no "real" insulation.
Sleeping in cars gets bloody cold!

Maybe a secondary battery and a small fan heater, could work well sat under the bed?

I'm with him (but were not friends?)
a coupla batteries and an isolater with one of the 12v heaters for rvs. Plus once you have aux. elec. a whole world of comforts open up, coffee maker, elec blanket, hot plate

but ya need curtains on the windows to keep the cops from waking you up.
i speak from experience.

the first thing you think of when you see a bed in a van is sex??

you can't buy class like that!!!

all it needs now is somewhere to put the wkd/bacardi breezer/smirnof ice...
