HI there! first i will clear up the subject....i dont own a VW caddy, its a skoda fun pickup!!! i would of got a vw instead but i liked the rear seats too much!

love old caddys..especially euro look. oh btw befor i forget... i CAN NOT spell to save my life! im 20 and like in the north of england... love pickups with a pasion and love my fun even more.

my fun is a 2000, so far it has a set of components in the doors and a 10" sub in the passenger foot well (only place it would go due to rear seats that move)all amped up through an amp which is under my seat. i have also put a set of 17" Ace 205 rims on which i think look awsome!!(just needs lowering) finaly i have striped my rear seats ready for a retrim to go with my new buckets when i get them. and theres major bodywork in the pipeline just waiting for the funds:D£££££:D

so i have a couple of pics...if someone could tell me how to put them up i will happily do so!!!

thanks Craig

the picture has to be reduced in some editing software and then hosted on the Net, but I have sorted it;)

What is a Skoda? ARe they VW's? It looks a lot like an MK3 Jetta front end.

skoda is one of the companies that vw has a controlling share in. another is seat. i think skoda is spanish, though someone else may prove me wrong with the correct country. they are essentially volkswagens with another name on them.

not trying to bump....but garry, you may be surprised with all the makes that are now in the volkswagen/audi family. lamberghini (?) is one as is bugatti

I think that Skoda is Swedish and Seat is Spanish.

SEAT is indeed Spanish (or was[}:)]), it originaly started as a company buiding FIAT's under licence from Italy

http://www.seat.com/su/com/SEAT/site/main,lang=en.html

Skoda is actually from the Czech Republic, they basically built Eastern Europen crap until VW got their hands on them, now ALL thier models are based on VW platforms, as are ALL the SEAT's aswell

"they basically built Eastern Europen crap"

They were ugly & basic but very reliable, remember how many years in a row they won their class rallying, about 18 years in a row or something??

By the way, i've never owned one, just thought i'd stick up for them.

Skoda was in Canada...couldn't take the winters and salted roads...
The fate of many, actually...

SEAT's the one you want, they are churning out better looking chariots than VW at the moment[}:)]

i do like the looks of the current volkswagens....long way from the beetle though. if we could get the other brands over here...volswagen/audi could possibly gain some more ground on the rice burners

Yeah, my buddy and I were trying to figure out how much it would be to get a container from brazil with a couple of VW saveiros in it up to the states but since niether of us speaks portugeese we figured we'd be in for a goose chase. They look like a pretty burly truck though.

I could understand it, but could do much better in Spanish. Ohh, if only we could get a few of them up here. Sigh...

I guess it's time to recruit a bilingual Brazilian to join the forum and get some of those fine products back in the states. Maybe people got scared by the Fox. My friend and I toyed with the idea of driving from brazil- I think it can still be done, but it would be one thrashed truck by the time it hit the homeland[8D]
