Do the Recaro thing - I've just finished the frames on my Recaros and they rock!
Just need triming now to remove that RS Turbo fabric!

BTW Monkey now has a pair of Original Sport seats for sale.

Mixed views, I have a set of 16v seats in there for the time being and have a set of Alfa recaro's to go in when it's all finished but these X19 seats just caught my eye for some reason, could have a change of trims now and again....

Dont buy these dub- ha8

Gran Finale seats ARE NOT Alcantara:( he doesnt know what he's got[:0]

The seats are velour (with coloured squares)and vinyl and thats it[^] The only X1/9 seat worth having are from VIS model as these are leather:) and that is what he has fitted to his own as the only black interior on X1/9's was leather[8]

(I worked for Fiat Auto UK for many years incase your wondering how I know;))

typical fiat, great looks, but scratch the surface and look a little deeper!!!
Still, where could you buy a car with a 190ish bhp 2.0l 16v turbo engined motor car designed by pininfarina for less than 4000?
No where, great stuff comes at a price.

I've got some Polo coupe seats in mine, they look good cos the blue weave on them matches my blue vinyl!!! sorted.

I am going to make a corrado rear bench into a proper front bench seat. Even have an old ford bench to rob some hardwear/frames off of. Wish me luck!

Lancia were the first to use it in a production car as far as I know in the Delta 2.0 8V Inter in 1987 because it was cheap then:D all lancia models were available with it from about 89 , If I remember correctly "Alcantara" was first used in clothing in Italy back in the early 70's as an alternative to real suede, they then started producing office furniture and the trim for the motor industry / boating in the late 80's. I think its owned by the Japs now

i was thinking of the corrado rear bench idea. was told by a mate to go for the jetta one though with the arm rest as it would be better. let us know how you get on :)

I love bench seats, especially with seating for 3 or get your girlie up next to you whilst out cruising.

I'll let you fellas know how it goes. I got a seat all lined up, just got to go get it. Should be a bit of work, but will be worth it. Need to get some space on Garry's server to host some pics!
