I have a 1.6 mk2 golf driver engine in mine..

i want to beef it up a bit..

any suggestions?

or am i best to source a cheap 1.8 mk2 gti lump or summat?

I'd say go for a diesel if you want torque! Well, if you live near upstate NY we have a few spare 1.8MK2 engines we could part with for a very reasonable price. We could even rebuild them for you for a nominal fee.

pop a gti engine in. there isn't much you can do to the lump you got besides expensive carbs and cams etc....
If the wiring is in place for injection then whack a gti in there - sorted.

i found a 1.8 8v mk2 gti engine n running gear etc..

150! :O

but funds are tight atm!

i will maybe look into the GTI when funds are more plentiful!

i live in nottinghamshire UK mate.. near where robin hood lived?

so it wud be hard to get one of ur engines to me!
