lowered my caddy rear today using 40mm lowering blocks. i know i need new shockers as there is very little travel left in them. my question is will the new shockers lift the rear end up at all as it is lower than i expected. incidently i managed the drop leaving the rear axle in place and just jacking it up.:)

No, a shock absorber will not raise it at all.
If not happy with it (ie too low) you'd be best to get it perfect before you order your shocks, or the rebound etc will still be out.
Cheers and well done mate....

Momo is a beauty mate, cheers.
I bought a lowering kit for a mk1+2 escort.
Made by grayston engineering.
Its got a lowering block in there and some new u bolts.
Come in 1, 1.5 and 2 inch drops. Needs s hole drilling in one side, but as its aluminium, its not a problem!!!!

Cool, cheers chaps. Are the "u" bolts for escorts the correct size? Not that I need them, just curious.

the lowering blocks come with 2 new u-bolts which are about twice as long as the caddy u-bolts they are part of the kit. as i said you can give me the 20 i paid for mine or you can order from Midland Performance in walsall tel: 01922 625903. not a bad shop and only place i know that actually does a front spring kit just for for the caddy, save you buying four.

WILL SOMEONE SELL ME SOME 14" P-SLOTS[?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?]

Question. I have a 1981 Rabbit truck and I want to lower it. This is my first truck. And I know the front springs are the same as a rabbit. But the back is confusing. Do they sell lowerered leaf springs or lowering blocks. I live in California. If anyone knows of any stores or websites, that would be very helpful. Also there is a store called AutoZone that sells lowering blocks with u bolts for all the fords, toyotas, nissans, etc. Are these the same? thanks for any help...
