Hi everyone

hope you dont mind me intruding on your forum but im in need of a home

now im not a caddy owner (although i am a massive caddy fan ) but the owner of another outkast vw a mk1 jetta and you guys seem the coolest and most helpful of all the forums ive been on. there are also a lot of sweet rides on here too and a very nice mk1 2 door jetta ive spotted kicking around :thumbs_up

now im a bit of a novice when it comes to cars but im keen to learn and make this car as sweet as i can do so i hope you won't mind if im seeking advice on certain things. i dont want to just throw the chequebook at it as
A im fairly skint and it would bounce :D and B i want to do as much as i can myself even if i end up like this a lot :bh

i do have a mate who uses this forum quite a bit and who helps me out loads and he also lets me borrow bits i find lying around in his garden (cheers for the wheels) he also has a really sweet caddy, which ive seen from start to finish and remember what it started out like, he was gonna scrap it on the way home from buying it lol, im glad he didnt cos its sweet as now and one of the finest caddys around, cheers for all your help bud ill return the favour one day :thumbs_up

anyway i hope you dont all mind me hanging out on here and bending your ears a bit :)

i was never really a fan of the mk1 jetta (except the boot, that is amazingly massive)... but after i saw yours (and the one below), my mind has changed... they can look really good!
also, recently saw this:
http://www.vwclub.co.za/vwforum/viewtopic.php?t=18843&start=0

and thaught it looks well good!. not too fond of the interior (although quite well done, not my style), but otherwise its quite pretty!

on that orange jetta though, i am not to sure on that chin! i like the shorter ones!

oh yeah... welcome to the forum!

oh yes... i think what i like about your jetta is its simplicity. but most of all its the wheels. here in SA its all the rage to put bigger wheels on. to me, unless the body and paint are all re-done then i dont like the big wheels. but these "smaller" wheels make this shape car. IMO the shape is too dated to put put big flashy rims on...
